The final years of high school, thinking about the next stage of life, can be an overwhelming time for students (and parents). That's why we started Life Compass 365: to help Bundaberg teenagers navigate their own path forward with confidence.
We work collaboratively with students in Grades 9 to 12, and their parents/carers, to identify opportunities related to teenagers' individual interests and unique strengths.
By combining quality counselling and expert career guidance, we unlock barriers that can prevent young adults from reaching their potential.

To help address:
- Emotional regulation (anxiety & mood swings).
- Behaviour changes (anger, withdrawal, defiance or risk taking).
- Academic problems (school refusal, declining grades or lack of motivation).
- Family conflict (divorce, communication breakdown or blending families.
- Social difficulties (bullying, isolation or peer pressure).

$160 per session (45 minutes + 15 minute debrief with parents/guardians). Private health rebates available.
A parent intake meeting is required prior to 1-1 counselling ($160 - 1 hour). Call Trent to book a time.
Parent Consultation
Parenting a teenager is challenging. This meeting is aimed to develop strategies, that are within your control, to improve your current situation.

Trent Kirk is a fully qualified and experienced high school teacher, counsellor and coach, who is dedicated to helping teenagers thrive on their journey to adulthood. He’s guided students of all interests and abilities; from academic high achievers to kids with complex social needs.

Trent Kirk is a fully qualified and experienced high school teacher, counsellor and coach, who is dedicated to helping teenagers thrive on their journey to adulthood. He’s guided students of all interests and abilities; from academic high achievers to kids with complex social needs.
He started Life Compass 365 in 2025 for teenagers and parents/carers, who want more than the narrow “one-size-fits-all” approach that many schools provide.
Highly knowledgeable and keenly focused on wellbeing, Trent provides expert guidance and information to help teenagers and their families make informed choices for their future.
Before becoming a teacher about 15 years ago, Trent enjoyed a diverse education and career in a variety of fields, including criminology, disability support, farming and landscaping gardening.
He is married with two primary school aged children. He enjoys fishing, playing golf and exploring Australia.

How to Access Life Compass 365 + Pricing
1. Call (0483791950) or email Trent to provide some background information.
2. A 'Client Intake' form will be emailed to the parent/guardian.
3. Trent will make contact with you via phone to confirm appointment and make sure Life Compass 365 is the right service for your son/daughter.
NOTE: For counselling, a face-to-face intake interview will be completed with parent/guardian (approximately 60 minutes). After this, counselling sessions will begin with your child. Price is $160 for the Intake meeting. Counselling sessions are $160 per session (45 minutes + 15 minutes of parent consultation).
For Career counselling appointments (60 minutes), an Intake meeting is not required. $160 per session. Parents are welcome to attend this appointment with their child.
